    Lawrence, son of John and Margaret (Kitson) Washington, was of Northampton and Gray's Inn and Mayor of Northampton. He was grantee of the Manor or Sulgrave, March 10 1539. He married his second wife, Anne (perhaps Amee), daughter of Robert Pargiter. He made his son-in-law Lawrence Washington, supervisor of his will.
    Lawrence made his will Oct. 18, 1581, and in it requests that he be buried in the South Aisle of the church "before my seat where I usually sit".

    Walter Light of Radway, County Warwick, made his will March 16, 1596, and it was proved April 22, 1567. He requested bruial in the chancel of the parish church near his wife and states that Lawrence Washington, after the decease of his brother Walter Washington, procured administration of his goods and chattels and the law would have to determine the standing of two leases of the farm in Radway "wherein I now dwell," and makes his friend John Murden of Ratley, County Warwick, his legatee, until the law settles the question in dispute.
    Walter was the son of Christopher Light of Horley, who married Elizabeth daughter of Henry Warde of Pillerton.

Cominge, who were married at Yeovil on July 18, 1568. John, Sr. died in 1593. The Marchant family in Yeovil, according to register, is as old as the register itself, which dates from the year 1563. Burke's "General Armory" records two families of Marchants entitled to bear Coats of Arms.

  NEHGR: Robert Kerrich of Bedfield, Suffolk, the testator of 1577/8. Born
probably about 1505 and died between 27 Jan. 1577/8 and 13 April 1578. His
father in his will devised to him his dwelling in Saxsted and lands in Saxsted, Framlingham, Earl-Soham and Monk-Soham, co. Suffolk. He was taxed at Bedfield in the subsidies of 1545-6, 1548-50, 1565-6 and 1575-6, and, as Robert Kerriche (sic) of Bedfield, the elder, he was one of the executors of his father's will.
  His own will (page 291) is very long and shows that he belonged to the best class of the  yeomanry. In the 1565-6 subsidy Robert Kerrych was taxed 10 shillings on goods valued at 12 pounds--the highest tax in Bedfield that subsidy (page 297).

and 13 April 1578. "Was of Bedfield, Suffolk; owned land in Saxsted,
