Sailed for America in the ship "Rose" from Great Yarmouth, EN landing in New England in the year 1635. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Boston, Mass., 1644. He died at Roxbury, Mass., Sept. 1, 1693.

He is the ancestor of families bearing the name who have been residents of New London County, and the divines, civilians, and warriors of this name who have honored the country of their birth." He married (2) Martha Strong, who died 22 Dec. 1704. Robert Williams died 1 Sept. 1693, aged about 100 years.
