SARAH DRUSCILLA WINTERS CROUCH

Sarah Druscilla Winters Crouch was born 5-23-1818 in Giles, TN.  She lost her fiancé, Jonathan Lindley, in the Alamo on March 6, 1836.  She married Jackson Crouch on July 19, 1838.

   3.   James Wiley Crouch, 1843 (this child isn’t actually listed in most of our family documents, but I found him elsewhere)

   6.   Susan Crouch, 5-29-1852
   7.   Orrin Crouch, 8-27-1854
   8.   John Willis Crouch, 1858

   9.   Sarah (Sallie) Crouch, died June 8, 1913 and was buried in Moulton, TX

 

1.  Lydia Crouch; Her eldest daughter Lydia Ellen Crouch Moore was born September 8, 1839 in Walker, Texas.

She married Samuel Moore on November 4, 1857.  Lydia died in Houston, TX January 21, 1923 and is buried in Moulton, TX.

Their children were:

     a.  Benjamin Moore 6-19-1861

     b.  Gazzie Schlicher 3-18-1863

     c.   Lula Allen 2-14-1866

     d.  Samuella Corbett 10-29-1874 in Flatonia, TX.  She married William Corbett on December 26, 1894 in Halletsville, TX.   

           Samuella died March 10, 1954 in Houston, TX

                   Children: Ellen Palmer,  William Corbett, Jr.,  Zulia Miller,  Betty Rodnesney,  Lula Baker b. 2-23-1900.

     e.  William Moore June 1, ????

     f.   Lilly Schenck March 24, ????

 

NOTES:

Lula Raymond Corbett Baker was born in Halletsville, TX

She married Ogle Baker on December 15, 1918 in Bonney, TX

Her children:

Ogle Baker, Jr. 9-6-1919

Ellen 7-19-1921

She died Jan 21 1986 in Houston, TX and is buried there.

Ellen Hope Baker Taylor was born in Sipe Springs, TX

She married Lloyd Jacob Taylor on June 6, 1939 in Houston, TX

They had 2 daughters, Luella Hope and Betty Ellen. They had a son that died shortly after birth.

Ellen died in New Braunfels, TX on December 23, 1985 and she, her son and her husband are all buried in Houston, TX
