Take Wilma Rudolph Blvd. to Merriwether Road, turn right go to Oakland Rd. Turn left on Oakland Rd., go to Current Road and turn right. Turn in the first driveway on the left. Cemetery is out in the field on the John Stevenson Farm.

We try to keep families grouped together. If someone's last name is listed, it means they have a separate headstone. If it is not listed, they are sharing a headstone with someone else. Sometimes children are on the same headstone as parents.
Since we do not personally know these families, if we aren't sure of a relationship we list who they are buried next to. Any help matching folks with their relatives will be greatly appreciated.
The information is exactly as it appears on the stones. If you know the person's full name, please let us know.

DUDLEY    Bettie B.    dau. of N.B. & M.R. Dudley

She was beautiful, gentle, affectionate, full of life and energy,
and the brightest of all our jewels

He was our youngest, our noblest, our pet and darling,
and we had hoped that he would be the stay and comfort of our old age

ROSS    Reuben, Elder    born in Martin Co., N.C. May 9,1776
professed religion in 1802 ordained to the Baptist
Ministry in 1807 died in Christian Co., KY. Jan.28,1860
On front: In memory of   The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance
On the left: He being dead yet speaketh
Erected by order of the Bethel Association in 1871
as a token of the Christian affection of his brethren,
who will hold him in everlasting remembrance.
On the right: The upright shall dwell in thy presence.
For 54 years an earnest , faithful Embassador for Christ.
He took a leading part in the organization of the Bethel Baptist Association
over which for many years he presided as the beloved moderator.
On the back: Thy sun shall no more go down
Ever since my conversion the pulpit has been to me

wife of Elder Reubin Ross, who was born April the 1st, 1782
and departed this life June the second 1847
aged 65 years 2 months and 1 day,
having lived a member of the Baptist Church
upwards of 46 years.
