Sacred to the memory of
He was for many years an exemplary Christian in the communion of the
Protestant Episcopal Church, and at the time of his death senior warden
of Trinity Church Clarksville.
While the church the parsonage the burying ground as well as his
munificent bequest, by will to the parish, are the substantial monuments
of his extraordinary devotion to the kingdom of the redeemer
yet the most precious legacy of all he has left behind is his good example.
Having lived an active, useful life in favor with God, and in perfect
charity with the world he has finished his course in faith
& now rest from his labors.
