Burnell, Ethel (b. 1896, d. ?)
Note: Ethel married Charlie Sandford - moved to bungalow in Gosport in about 1958/9 when Mary and Cyril still in Palace St. Bryan remembers them having a ginger beer plant.

Both died in 1980s, Charlie 1st, then Ethel who was almost blind.

Ethel - Cyril's 2nd oldest stepsister, 14 yrs older than Cyril (b 1910), so b. 1896.
Had 2 daughters, Joyce oldest (five yrs older than Mary), and Kathy is 77 now.

Joyce married Gordon Ayers and 3 children: Carol, Graham (divorced and remarried) and Alan (died 1974, aged about 18/19, froze to death in lorry/car). Carol is older than Barbara who is about Graham's age. Alan came along quite a bit later.

Kathy adopted 2 children (Marion, and Timothy) but when adopting 2nd, fell pregnant with Christopher who died when he was 34/35.
