Note: She (Lil) did tell me that while they were in Beech Street, there was an old woman who was a lodger and had the front bedroom and used it has a bed sitting room. From what I can gather the house was pretty small to begin with, so with a lodger it must have been cramped. This lodger, from her memories, was a person who liked to give advice-one example being during a raid she was playing under the table with a doll, when the lodger came in and told her parents that they should be teaching her the seriousness of it, her Dad told the lodger to 'shut up'.

The other thing she mentioned that when she was very young, and still in London, she was sent home from school with TB. Also that the school was better than the one she went to in Worcester Park, because in that one there was one teacher to three classes.
