Branfield, Wilfred (b. 1877, d. ?)

Note: Wilfred Branfield worked for Rolls Royce as a Heat Treatment Engineer. He was on the team investigating the comet disaster in the early 50's. This was when first one comet and then another one crashed with no reason (the comet being the first jet engine plane & rolls Royce made the engine) and this team discovered metal fatigue-something no one knew about before.

Wilfred also wrote highbrow books & Dad had a copy of two of them ). One is called Selected Essays with Ecological Background by Wilfred Branfield, and the date is 1957. Someone has wrote 1877-, above. 1877 would be right for the birth date according to the census, but I cannot confirm if he died in 1957. Dad last saw him in 1956, and he was in good health then, a short man with white curly hair. The other book Dad had was Continuous Creation:A Biological Concept of the Nature of Matter. In this one, Wilfred had written something to Dad, and the date was 1956. I did a search on the internet and found you can still buy this one, plus the same book with a different person doing the introduction, and another book called Continuous Creation: The Spirit in the New Anti-Newton Cosmology.

In 1956 he was a short man with white, curly hair. He possibly had a son called Reginald or Winifred married a Reginald (from Hazels dad). At one point, her lost all contact with his family.
