The following listing is from contributed family
files, and/or Tombstone Recordings.
This is NOT official
cemetery
information, NOR is it complete.
Location of Official Records for this cemetery is UNKNOWN.
"This Industry, PA cemetery is located
a few feet off of Engle Road, in Industry, Beaver County."
St. Paul's Episcopal Church was not
located at the site of the cemetery. It was in the village of
Fairview, PA several miles NW of the cemetery site. Some of the
members there were my Mason ancestors. The picture above was sent on a
postcard to My Great-Grandfather, Frank R. WRIGHT. I don't know
when the church ceased to exist, it was not there when I was growing
up, and I was born in 1939.
Now, In a series of
Cemetery Records, Beaver County Cemeteries, Volume 11, printed by
Closson Press 1982,1994, page 2 it states " The ground
for a church building was acquired by deed of George Mason and
Catherine, his wife, Bearing date October 17, 1836." [From
Bausman Vol II], * A History of Beaver County.* Thus, the site of
the church was on his property. As I understand it, the burying
ground was on a brother's land.
My Dad told me it was located about 500 feet south of the intersection
of what is now Tuscarawas Road and Ridgemont Drive. If you do a
Google search for Fairview, Beaver County, Pa., and come up with the
map, the church was located right at the first big curve south of
Tuscarawas Road, on the right as you were travelling south. It was
several feet from the roadway at that time. Some of the Mason
family lived in the area between what
is shown as Valleyview Drive and State route 168 on the map, fairly
close to the church. More Mason's lived near the site of the St. Paul's
Cemetery. Regards -- Louis
A. Doutt, a Mason Family descendant.
