Biography of FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT

 
FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT, was born 30 January 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. He was educated in Germany, Groton, and Harvard where he was awarded his AB in 1903. He was also a graduate of Columbia Law School. On 17 March 1905 In New York, New York, he married his 5th cousin ANNA ELEANOR ROOSEVELT, who was born 11 October 1884 in New York, New York, a daughter of Elliott Roosevelt and Anna Rebecca Hall. She died 7 November 1962 in New York, New York, and was buried in Hyde Park, New York.
The professional career of Franklin D. Roosevelt:

     1907       admitted to the New York Bar.
     1909       Member of the Hudson Fulton Celebration Commission.
     1911-1913  New York State Senator.
     1913       Member of the Plattsburg Centennial
     1913-1920  Assistant Secretary of the Navy.
     1914       unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic senatorial primaries.
     1918-1924  Overseer of Harvard.
     1920       Vice Presidential candidate.
     1920       became a partner of Emmet, Marvin & Roosevelt, attorneys.
     1920-1928  Vice President of Fidelity and Deposit Company.
     1924-1933  became a partner of Roosevelt & O'Connor, attorneys.
     1925       Chairman of the Taconic State Park Commission.
     1929-1933  Governor of New York.
     1933-1945  32nd President of the United States.
