Biography of THEODORE ROOSEVELT

 
THEODORE ROOSEVELT, was born 27 October 1858 in New York, New York. He was educated at Harvard (AB, 1880) and Columbia Law School. On 27 October 1880 at the First Parish Church (Unitarian) he married as his first wife Alice Hathaway Lee, who was born 29 July 1861 in Chestnut Hill, Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of George Cabot Lee and Caroline Watts Haskell. She died of Bright's Disease on 14 February 1884 in New York, New York. On 2 December 1886 at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, the United Kingdom, he married as his second wife Edith Kermit Carow, who was born 6 August 1861 in Norwich Connecticut, a daughter of Charles Carow and Gertrude Elizabeth Tyler. She died 30 September 1848 on Long Island, New York.

     1901-1909  from September of 1901 to the end of his second term, 26th
		President of the United States
