The Swain Family of Richardson Texas Web Page
Welcome to the Swain family of Texas web site. I created this site in dedication to my parents, who are in Heaven ~ George Wesley Swain and Noma Lou Walker Swain. With the purest Love I have in My Heart for you both....Your Daughter..Sharron
My father ~ George Wesley Swain was born November 10, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. His mother was Zora May Tarver and His father was Lorenzo Dow Swain, Sr. ~ my paternal Grandparents. God blessed them with four sons ~ Lorenzo Dow Swain, Jr., John W. Swain, my father George and Robert Swain. To-date, all of the above family members are in Heaven except I am not sure about L.D. Swain, Jr. who I haven't been able to contact.
My mother ~ Noma Lou Walker Swain was born on August 28, 1928 in Mansville, Oklahoma. Her mother was Josephine Webb Walker born on August 20, 1889 in Jackson County, Alabama. Her father was John Lewis Walker born August 16, 1874 in Marlin, Texas. My maternal Grandparents were blessed with 7 daughters and 2 sons. They were born Raymond Leslie Walker born February 6, 1905; Beulah May Walker born November 17, 1907; Tinnie (Sue) Walker born February 19, 1909; TWINS ~ Lillie Walker AND Willie Mae Walker born April 23, 1913; Gertrude Walker born April 4, 1916; Roman L. Then came Dorotha Mae Walker born January 25, 1923 and my Mother Noma, she preferred and used the name Norma Lou Walker ~ the baby of the family ~ and they were born in Mansville, Oklahoma.
I am George Wesley Swain and Norma Lou Walker Swain's daughter Sharron Lou Swain, born January 5, 1957 in Dallas, Texas at 6:25 a.m. at Stephens Park Hospital in Oak Cliff (Dallas), Texas. I was blessed with 2 sons ~ Tony A. Aldas born March 13, 1979 in Dallas, Texas at Baylor Hospital and Matthew Wesley Aldas born March 5, 1984 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Their birth father Tony O. Aldas passed away in December 1991. Our Prayers for Peace to You Tony.
I grew up in the city of Richardson, Texas a new suburb of Dallas in the early 1960's. My father worked for Collins Radio, as an electrical engineer and they had a huge office in Richardson, which encourages employees to move in or near Richardson. When I was four years old we moved from a small home in Garland, Texas to a brand new home in Richardson. I thought we were rich and remember eating pimento cheese sandwiches on the fireplace hearth with my parents and half sister Brenda the first day we were moving into our home in 1961.
More to come later....
