County, Missouri, Traci Wilson-Kleekamp "Database
currently contains 2,465 records of slaveowners and their
slaves, from Howard Co., MO. Data was compiled by a
collaborative effort of Traci Wilson-Kleekamp, Beth
Wilson and Karen Harvey, with additional information
provided by many others. Most of the information comes
from transcribed deed records which recorded the sale of
slaves, but could include census and other records. It is the
hopes of the compilers that this information will help African-Americans
trace their roots.
