Luther James3 NORTON (Matthew Mark2, Jacob1) was born Rockdale Co., GA 1/11/1871 and died 1951.  He married Leila Belle PEEK in 1899.  Leila was born Rockdale Co., GA 11/16/1871 as the daughter of Josiah Jerimiah PEEK and Martha Ann DENNARD.  Leila died 7/23/1965 and her body was interred in Conyers, Rockdale Co., GA, Eastview Cemetery.

12. Talula Oscar3 NORTON (Matthew Mark2, Jacob1) was born 10/9/1869 and died 7/7/1934 Rockdale Co., GA, at 64 years of age.  His body was interred 1934 Conyers, Rockdale Co., GA, Eastview Cemetery.  He married Eva Euna MADDOX Rockdale Co., GA?. Eva was
born GA? 3/1/1873 as the daughter of James Elisha MADDOX and Alpha Bibb POSEY.  Eva died 4/8/1943 Conyers, Rockdale Co., GA, at 70 years of age.  Her body was interred 1943 Conyers, Rockdale Co., GA, Eastview Cemetery.  Eva was very educated and religious and daily taught her children verses from the Bible.

Oscar registered to vote Rockdale Co., GA, 1896: Sheffield District: TO 28 years old.

Oscar was a farmer and contractor. He constructed dams, grist mills, and other projects utilizing large amounts of stone and concrete.  He constructed the Yellow River Dam and the foundations for the mill at Milstead, Georgia, foundations in, LaGrange, Georgia for Callaway Mills, and the stone building in Newport, Tennessee with the cornerstone labeld "MIMS 1932."
