Jean-Baptiste born on the 5th of February 1681 at L'Islet. Jean was baptized on the 10th of the same month in the church of Cap Saint-Ignace. He married Marie Anne Gerbert daughter of Jacques Gerbert and Marie Pelletier on the 26th of April 1706 at Cap Saint-Ignace. He was buried in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours church in L'Islet Sept. 6 1756. The couple had at least 15 children of whom 12 married.
