The following was taken from an old Bible, then in possesion of A Mrs Bagby in King and Queen Co., Va. by miss Adeline Gresham of Burke Co., Ga. shortly after the Civil War, when miss Gresham was visiting relatives in King and Queen Co., Va.
George Gresham and his wife Sarah were married May 10, 1732,
1. William Gresham the son of George and Sarah was born Feb 19, 1733
2. Joseph Gresham was born Nov 25, 1734
3. George Gresham was born Dec. 20, 1736.
4. Thomas Gresham was born Mar27. 1739.
5.. John Gresham was born Mar 20, 1741.
6. Samuel Gresham was born Aprill 20, 1747.
7. Richard Gresham was born Mar 9, 1745.
8. Joel Gresham was born April 20, 1747.
9. Moses Gresham was born Nov 18, 1749.
10. Betty, daughter of George and Sarah, was born Jan 20, 1752, baptized Jan 31, Dunbar and Joseph, sponsers.
11. Job Gresham was born July 16, 1754.
Miss Adeline Gresham of Burke, Co., Ga. was a grandaughter of Job Gresham who d. in Ky.

ROSS, land auctioned August 1784, Archibald GRESHAM was high bidder, one
pound eleven shillings, 240 acres in tract, 200 acres sold, begin at a
hicory, w 43 ch. to a White oak on a branch, down branch 24 ch to a red
oak, E five ch. to a red oak, S 39 ch. to a post oak, E 35 ch to a stake,

This Indenture made this 28th day of February 1792 between
James Atkins of the County of Brunswick, VA of the one part &
Robert Morris of sd. County of the other part . . . that the
said James Atkins Sr. for and in consideration of the just &
full sum of seventy five pounds . . . doth give grant
bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said Robt.
Morris . . . one certain tract piece or parcel of land
situate lying & being in the County aforesaid on Meherain
[sic] & bounded by the lands of William Marshall Sack
Pennington Asa Gresham & Philemon Russel and Meherain River
containing by estimation one hundred & ten acres . . .
Signed by James Atkins and witnessed by Lucs. Gee, Sack
Pennington, and Jabez Northington. Brunswick County Court
October 22nd 1792. This Indenture of Bargain and Sale was
acknowledged by James Atkins. Sr. party thereto to be his
act and deed and ordered to be recorded. Deed Book 15, page330.
