Among my Layton Family records, I find the following:
Elijah Layton b 4 Dec 1799 Rockingham Co VA, son of James,
d 13 Feb 1886 IN Tippecanoe, buried Romney Cemetery.
He married in Rockingham County (bond posted 2 Oct 1822 by John "Kenny" *. Groom Elijah Layton and bride Phoebe "Kenny")

Census: 1850 IN Kosciusko, 1860 IN Tippecanoe, 1880 IN Tippecanoe

This is record #1767 in my database.

* The spelling "Kenny" is from my reading the orginal record.
