Hi Nancy,

I don't have my info at my finger tips, as I am
writing this on my break at work, however, I will try
to give you a few generalities. Your Andrew must be
of a different generation than mine,as the dates don't
match nor do the spouses. From what you are telling
me, I do feel however, that there is a connection.
First let me say that my Andrew was the son of William
and Hannah. He would have to have been born prior to
1712, as William died ca 1712 or 1713 (date of his
will). Since Andrew inherited William's estate, that
would make him the oldest child, which would have put
his date of birth sometime in the 1600s. William
Willoughby also had sons Samuel and Edward as well as
a young daughter named Sarah. There could have been
others, but those were the only children mentioned in
his Will. Andrew Willoughby also left a Will, in
which he mentioned three of his some of his children
by name, but only mentioned his 3 youngest son as just
that. They were named however, in his estate papers.
There were 6 children mentioned in those papers and
the Will. I suppose there could have been more than 6,
but that is all that I know about. I can't remember
all the names at the moment, but will get back to you
later with the list of them. As I said, I can't
remember all of the details at the moment, but either
William or Andrew, one or the other had a son that had
a son named Job. I will get you that info later.
There may have been other Jobs in the family besides
the one that I have listed, but I don't have any info
on that.

There are several Andrew Willoughbys in the family,
but I don't have any info on any of them except
William's son Andrew of Dorchester/Caroline Co., MD.
As you probalby already know, Dorechester Co. was
divided and part of it became Caroline Co. One of
Andrew's younger sons, was Richard, who later moved to
Johnston Co, NC. According to the time frame, he I
believe he was married to Margaret Vincent/Vinson in
Maryland. She was most likely born in Maryland as
well.

The Andrew that I am talking about was not the father
of Job. It was either one of his brothers that was
Job's father, or one Andrew's sons that was Job's
father. I will let you know. I have an idea that you
are talking about a different Job than I am. I do
believe that we are in the same family, just a
different generation.

I have seen other Andrew Willoughby's beside my
Andrew, in different areas, but I have no direct
knowledge of them. I know there was one in Eastern
Tenn., I think Sullivan Co, or may Washington Co.,
Tn., but don't know anything about him. I have just
seen inquiries about him. I will be more than happy
to send you info on my Willoughby family and you can
determine if you fit in.

I will say that William, Andrew and Richard all left
Wills. Andrew and William in Maryland and Richard in
NC. William was the son of John Willoughby of
England, who also left a Will. John was the son of
Christopher, as was mentioned in his Will. That
Willoughby family goes back to ca 1000 and are
descendants of the Thane of Merilitor. His son John
was supposedly the first Willoughby. I believe that
The Thane of Merilitor was of Danish descent. John
was with William the Conqueror, I think, if memory
serves me correctly. I would venture to say that all
of the Willoughby's are related at some point way back
when. I also have a line thru marriage into the
Willoughby family that goes back to Charlemagne and
beyond.

Well gotta go for now, but will get back to you later.
Will try to get to it over the weekend. I am just
too busy during the week. I work too much OT to have
any time left in the evening to get much done.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Until later,
Betty Bishop Willoughby
