Raymond R. Rose

RAYMOND R. ROSE Raymond R. Rose, 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Newport Beach, CA on February 19, 2005 of cancer. Ray was a catcher for Fullerton JC and USC in the 1940's. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII, and was part of the landing force at Omaha Beach. He was an engineer with Pacific Bell for 35 years. Although he wasn't truly an enthusiastic traveler, he did enjoy cruises with his wife Marilyn, especially to the Amazon and the canals of France. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marilyn; his daughter Susan and her husband Norman Sufficool; his son Steve and his wife Sue; his son Scott and his wife Eva; and three beloved grandchildren, Charlotte, Bryan and Julianne. A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church by the Sea, Newport Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church by the Sea or to a charity of your choice.
