Hello. I got to see some of my sister-in-law's records from her
grandmother. Apparently, there was at one time a Bible that belonged to
Starling Russell. It sounds like it belonged to the one born in 1823
not his grandson. I don't know what happened to the original Bible, but
someone copied down the information in it. The copied information says
Starling was born Jan 1, 1823 and died may 15, 1897.
It also says:
To the memory
Margaret Pyle departed this life Aug 8 1839
born March 9 1781 age 58
To memory of Brother G. P. Russell who
departed this life July 28 1861
This seems copied a couple times, possibly by several different people.
On another page, it says G T? P Russell. I am not sure about the T.
At any rate, I just wondered if any of this meant anything to any of
you. Thank you for any help. I need to sort through the information I
got. At this point, I do not think there is anything else before
Starling or even of his siblings, unfortunately. I will send any
information that I find that might be of interest to you as soon as I
can or if I think they could be related.
I also have another question. There was a newspaper article where a
Judy Ann Russell met Judy Ann Russell. Apparently the W. E. Russell's
of Paducah visited the E. C. Russell's of Oklahoma. Does W. E. Russell
sound at all familiar to anyone? I know who E. C. Russell is.

town of Cadiz to Alex Baker and assignment from Alex Baker to
Wm. C. Russell, 2 lots in Baker's addition to Cadiz, containing
1/4 acre each, being lots #35 and 36 and being same on which

is indebted to Redd in sum of $240 and if he pays amt., this

at 2 black oaks from 1 root ... Russell's N.E. corner and thence

Jas. W. Jones, W.B. Layton. Rec 8 Sep 1856.

Wm. Wharton stands bound as security for Starling Russell in a
note this day executed by Russell & Wharton to R.D. Baker for
$354.37 and due 12 months after date. To secure payment, Russell
conveys 28 acres, being same conveyed to Russell by F.S. Jones
& also all that certain other tract set apart to Mary Anna
Russell, wife of Starling, by commissioners appointed by Trigg

and wf Mary Ann of Trigg Co, of the second part and all being
heirs at law of William Jones deceased. Starling and wf are
entitled by a division made in April 1854 to a portion of the land
in Trigg Co conveyed to Wm. Jones heirs by Samuel B. Younglove,
attorney for Charles W. Short, on 27 Jan 1853? and rec. in
Trigg Co Deed Bk L, pg 332 and whereas Starling Russell purchased
of F.S. Jones & wf Elizabeth, heirs of Wm Jones dec'd, on 11
Aug 1856 a portiion of sd land to which he has a deed (Bk M,
pg 558) & purchased from T.R. Russell & wf a portion of sd. land
say 32 acres, and also from same, Wm. M. Jones' portion say 42
