MRS IRENE ELIZABETH CALHOUN WADE
MRS. IRENE ELIZABETH WADE, wife of the later Peter Wade died on the morning of January 5th at the family home two miles south-east of Cadiz after a brief illness of five days.
Some trouble with her head and other complications caused her death.
Mrs. Wade was a daughter of the late Jesse Cameron, of Wallonia section, and was sixty-five years of age. In early life, she was united in marriage to Peter Wade, who died several years ago. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom are still living as follows" Misses Minnie and Nellie Wade, Mrs. R.L. Pridges, and Messrs. Ed, Ernest, Boyd and Jack Wade. she is also survived by three sisters and three brothers as follows: Mrs. W.W. russell, of Dawson; Mrs. J.R. Wade, Mrs. Walter Barnes, and Messrs. J.W., F.M. and J.L. Cameron of Trigg county.
Mrs. Wade was a member of the Methodist church and was a true Christian and a splendid lady. She was devoted to her family, was a kind and thoughtful neighbor and friend and her death removes from the walks of life one of the really good mothers of the county.
The funeral and burial took place on the afternoon of the 5th at Mr. Zion, five miles north of Cadiz. A large number of relatives and friends were presen
t, and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.E. King, of this city.
