JESSE LEE CAMERON
Jesse Lee Cameron passed away at 11:55 Monday night, October 2, 1944 at his home in Madisonville, Ky. He was the son of Nancy Boyd and Jesse Cameron; born April 26, 1864. He died at the age of 80 years 5 months and 6 days. Mr Cameron was united in marriage to Julia Ann Brandon, October 1892. To this union was born eleven children, Mrs Cameron died March 1917. In June 1932 he was again united in marriage to Mrs Ada Hawkins, of Madisonville. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Ada Cameron, his eleven children, Charlie, Gordon, Walter, Jesse and Tom Cameron, Mrs Betty Childress, and Mrs Ruby Sumner, of Trigg county; Mrs Ida Stewart and Mrs Nettie Light of Hopkinsville, Mrs Florence Miller, of central City, and Clint Cameron, "who is serving his country somewhere in France." Thirty-eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Mt Zion Church, conducted by rev. D.L. Vance, assisted by Rev. J.A. Vire, Pallbearers were Lewis Morris, Theo Powell, Charles C. Carl, Durwood and Haydon Cameron, Eight of his granddaughters were in charge of the flowers. Cadiz Record Oct 1944
