My 5th great-grandfather is James F. Trotter, son of William and Sarah King Trotter.
James was born about 1804 in NC. and died December 1, 1875 in Pleasant Twp, Fulton Co., IL. He is buried at Howard Cemetery, Pleasant Twp, Fulton County, IL.

James F. married 1st : September 12, 1829, Probably Hamilton County, IL
Mary Jane Smith, b. about 1805 in KY, d. bef. 1860, probably in Pleasant Twp, Fulton Co., IL.
James F. is listed in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census for Pleasant Twp, Fulton Co., IL.

Their children were:
David Trotter b. 1831, Otto PO, Pleasant Township, Fulton County, Illinois; married Elizabeth A., b. Ohio, both listed in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, Illinois, 1860 census, with children Sidney, Venelia, and Reuben.
William Trotter b. 1838, Otto PO, Pleasant Township, Fulton County, Illinois married Catherine, Bet. 1861 - 1864. William is in 1860 census Pleasant Twsp, Fulton County, IL., unmarried. Both listed in 1880 census Pleasant Twsp, Fulton County, IL. Children: Simeon, Ettie Jane, James and Nellie.
Elizabeth Trotter b. 1840, Otto PO, Pleasant Township, Fulton County, Illinois.
Mary E. Trotter b. 1842, Otto PO, Pleasant Township, Fulton County, Illinois. Listed in 1860 Pleasant Township, Fulton County, Illinois, not married at this time.
Caroline Trotter b. Abt. 1854. Listed in 1860 census with James F. and Mary E. Mary Jane Smith Trotter no longer listed in census.

James F. married 2nd my 5th great-grandmother Nancy Jane Blair, b. November 19, 1830 in Lawrence Co., IN., d. May 04, 1881, Pleasant Twsp, Fulton Co., IL., buried Howard Cemetery, Pleasant Twp, Fulton County, IL. They were married August 28, 1861 in Fulton County, IL.

Their children were:
Laura Trotter, b. Abt. 1862, m. Anderson Miller before 1880. Both were of Pleasant Valley, Fulton County, IL in 1880 census.
Pruda (Prudie or Prudence) Trotter, 4th great-grandmother- b. May 23, 1867 Ipava PO, Pleasant Township, Fulton Co. Illinois, d. May 1913 in Plano, Kendall County, Illinois. married Jerome Henry Williams on February 28, 1884, in Otto, Isabel Township, Fulton Co., Illinois. Their children were William Henry Williams, Archie Alonzo Williams, Nancy Elizabeth Williams and Laura Williams. In Tiskilwa, Bureau County 1900 census.
Charles Trotter b. 1869, married Katie Leonard? Or Maggie Y Davis? really unknown at this point.
Thomas Trotter b. 1870, born Illinois, married Mina (Minnie) Rowland on September 03, 1887 in McDonough County, IL. Their children were: Roy, Marlbic?, Minnie?, Donald, Court and Guy per the Tiskilwa, Bureau County 1900 census. (The spelling is difficult to read.)

I am most interested in finding out what happened to the rest of the family, as well as knowing who were Sarah King's parents (if anyone has found out yet), as well as proof of where William Joseph Trotter, Jr. was born, and if anyone has proof on his parents being William Joseph Trotter, Sr. and Margaret Keller...and (long winded here) if so, where they were born.
