She became one of the first women to graduate as a doctor of medicine from the University o f Melbourne. She and her husband spent 18 years as missionaries at Azamgarh and Mau, India , (1915 - 1932), 4 years at Alphington where Clem was minister, a further three years at Mau , India, 4 years at Malvern South, 4 years at Hawthorn and 9 years working among the Indian s in Fiji at Nausori and Suva. They retired in 1957, but still carried on an effective minis try in the Ivanhoe/Bellfield area. "They were loved and revered by all who knew them".
