EHLERS
On Feb. 22, 1941, in hospital, Charles Ehlers of 777 Burrard St., aged 87 years. Survived by his loving wife and one daughter, Mary, at home; one son, William, and three grandchildren in Okanagan, Wash. Funeral service in Center and Hanna's Chapel, Monday, Feb. 24, at 3 o'clock, Rev. C.C. Owen, D.D., officiating. Remains will later be forwarded to Walla Walla, Wash., for committal in family plot.

Dear Ms. Russell,

Thank you for your recent letter and enclosures to our society regarding the surname EHLERS.

We have checked varioius sources in our library, as well as, contacting several cemeteries in the Vancouver area to find the Ehlers family. We have transcribed the results of our search on the enclosed sheet (phone directories above). We do not know who or what connections these people have to each other, but it is evident that the Charles and Eliza Ehlers that you are looking for were in Vancouver for a limited period of time (actually they were in Vancouver from 1925-1944). We have been unable to find a burial site for these people, but we did find out that their daughter Mary Ehlers is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby and that she was buried on Sept. 26, 1980. it is highly unlikely that there is an obituary for her as we are told she bought her own plot.
