FADER, Charles Henry (Bus) - 81, Halifax, died April 16, 1995, in Camp Hill Medical Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William and Eva (Boudreau) Fader. FAULKNER, Clyde B. - 84, Dartmouth, died peacefully Saturday, June 10, 2006, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, with family by his side. Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late Charles and Annie (Kelly) Faulkner. Clyde served during the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1940-1945 on convoy duty in the North Atlantic and Europe. He was employed with Canada Post for 35 years, retiring as Nova Scotia District Manager of Operations. Following retirement, he worked with Canada Post in organizing the Heritage Club for long service employees and retirees. Clyde served as president of the Bluenose Chapter and also as first vice-president of the National Executive. As a founding member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Dartmouth, he served as a Parochial Lay Reader, a former Parish Warden, Church Warden and Treasurer. Active in many sports, including baseball, softball, hockey, rowing, paddling, bowling and golf. Clyde was also a member of the North Star Rowing Club for many years, and a past president of the Brightwood Golf and Country Club, as well as being a member of the 1982 Nova Scotia Seniors Golf Team. Clyde was also a member of the Eastern Marine Branch 161 Legion. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred S. (Purcell); son, Terry (Cathy); daughters, Linda (Reg) Awalt, Janie (Jim) Awalt; brothers, Alan (Kathy), and Gordon, British Columbia; sisters, Marjorie (Ed) Andrews, Joan (Kenneth) Gardiner, Shirley (Gary) McArthur, Ontario; Mary (Gerald) Huston, Michigan; grandchildren, Kerri and Ryan Faulkner, Erin and Kyle Awalt, Jason Awalt, and great-grandchild, Bailey Bachmann. He was predeceased by son, David in infancy; granddaughter, Christy Awalt; brothers, Stan, Roy, Charles, Eric, and sister, Jean MacRae. (Nicoll), Carol Anne - 64, Chester, died Thursday, October 12, 2006, at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late J.C. and Dorothy (Duncanson) Nicoll (Halifax). Carol is survived by her husband, Erich; son, Stephen (Chrystal) Risley, Vancouver, B.C.; daughter, Lisa Risley, Halifax; brother, David (Mary Fran) Nicoll, Florida; grandchildren, Abigail and Alexander Risley; nephews, David and Jamie Nicoll; and niece, Kristina Nicoll. Carol was much beloved by her family and friends. With her loving and generous disposition, she had an unbelievable source of energy that propelled her into many sports, such as golfing, biking and hiking. We will all miss her. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Engineer Corp from 1939-1945. He was with the HMC dockyard for 28 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 153, Whites Lake. At the time of her death, she was engaged in a degree at Mount Saint Vincent University in early childhood and youth studies. FERGUSON, Donald - 101, Park Street, Glace Bay, passed away peacefully in Glace Bay Healthcare Complex on Thursday, June 8, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glace Bay, Donald was a son of the late Neil and Margaret Ferguson (Foundry Street). Affectionately known as "Fergie", he started his working life as an auto mechanic at Glace Bay Cycle and Motor, then to Boone and Grace Motors and finally to Hyland Motors, from where he retired in 1973. Donald met and married his beloved wife, Mary (Smith), in 1939. Together they raised two children, Marilyn (Kenzie) Jones, Port Hawkesbury, and Brian, Glace Bay, with whom he shared his life and home in later years. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Rebecca Jones, Halifax; Jay Jones, Calgary, as well as his sister, Muriel Galbraith, St. John, N.B. Donald's survivors also include his extended family of sisters-in-law, Sarah Harn, Port Morien; Gladys Munroe, Muriel (Brenton) Peach, Olive (Clair) MacPherson, Reta (Lloyd) Layes, Lena (Ronald) MacDonald and Shirley (Tom) Appleton, as well as brother-in-law, Manning MacInnis, all of Glace Bay, along with nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his wife, Mary, in 1989; brother, Angus; sisters, Jessie (Ambrose) McIntyre, Mary and Margaret Ferguson, as well as a sister in infancy, and most recently his sister-in-law, Myrtle MacInnis. He was a native of St. Peters, Richmond County. He was a retired customs officer and veteran of the Second World War, serving in France, Belgium and Holland with the Medical Corps. Ferguson, age 64, on Saturday, June 17, 2006, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Ronnie was born and raised in Florence and was a son of the late Lemuel and Euphemia (King) Ferguson. Thro-ughout his life
his greatest joy was traveling with his wife, Marilynn, his soul mate and best friend. He was a devout member and faithfully
involved in St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, where he served as an Extraordinary Minister, and volunteered on many church
committees including the Parish Pastoral Council, Administrative Services, Church Restoration and the Glebe Committee.
Ronnie was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 682 for over 35 years. Ronnie will be deeply missed by his loving
and devoted wife of 43 years, Marilynn (Hare) Ferguson, and their children, Dawn (Jeff) Slaunwhite, Hammonds Plains; Gayle
(Paul) Boutilier, Little Pond; Sandra (Joe) Anderson, Thorold South, Ont.; Glenn (Amanda), St. Catharines, Ont.; the pride
and joy of his life, his grandchildren, his best buddies, Brent, Brandon and Logan, and his little princesses, Hannah and
Paige. He is also survived by his brother, Earl, Sydney; his sisters, Thelma MacDonald, Florence, and Mae (Con) Cantwell,

FOLEY, Mary Margaret - 78, the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, died Sunday April 16, 2006, in the home. Born in Charlottetown, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Genevieve (Dorion) Doucette. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Also surviving are nieces, Mary Mason, Betty Dewolfe, Theresa Goodwin, Judy Bowser; nephews, Raymon, Allan, Lester and David Doucette; mother-in-law, Lorella Foley; brother-in- law, Leo Foley; sisters-in-law, Joan Muise, Sheila Galloway, Willa Korotash; special friend, Donna MacKaracher. FRASER, Darren William Franklin - 37, 13th Street, Trenton, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006, in Aberdeen Regional Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Theresa (MacDonald) Fraser, Garden of Eden, and the late Gordon Fraser. Darren had been a resident of Trenton the past two years. He grew up in Garden of Eden graduating from East Pictou Rural High School. He then attended the Nautical Institute in Port Hawkesbury, taking Forestry and later went on to DeVry Institute taking Computer Technology in Toronto. Darren was employed with Sobeys Head Office as a Senior Support Analyst for the past 13 years. He was a member of Blair Presbyterian Church, Garden of Eden. Darren loved spending time with his children, and enjoyed watching them play hockey, baseball and soccer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Robitaille, Trenton; children, Cory and T-Anna; brother, Andrew (Dorothy), Blue Mountain, and their children Mike (Sandra), great-niece Abigail and great-nephew Andrew; Glen and Kelly; brother, George (Sharon), Dartmouth, and their children Darcy and Devon; brother, Alex (Sandra), Sutherland's River, and their children Amanda (D.A.) and Robert. He will be fondly remembered by close friend, A.J. Fraser, Garden of Eden, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in H.W. FRASER, Peter Joseph - 87, Sydney, died February 14, 1997, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney Mines, he was a son of the late Dan and Annie (Jobe) Fraser. He was a member of St. Anthony Daniel Church, Sydney. He moved to New Waterford as a youth with his family in the boom days of coal mines on Cape Breton Island. At the age of 14, he finished grade nine at Mount Carmel School and went to work in the local mines, rising to underground manager of a thousand men at 16 colliery during the 1950s. He was supervisor of 12, 16 and 20 collieries and manager of Chestico Mines, Port Hood. He spent nearly 50 years working in various Cape Breton coal mines, with the exception of a few months during his teenage years which he spent in Toronto. Surviving are his first wife, Ann Marie Fraser, New Waterford; son, Peter Joseph Jr., Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his second wife, Margaret Bancks; brothers, Danny, Murdock; sisters, Katie Aucoin, Bridget MacNeil, Isabelle Winstanley. Funeral 2 p.m. today in Mount Carmel Church, Rev.
