east off F.M. 1749; go 2.8 miles. When you come to cattle guard continue
on through three orange colored gates. They may be closed, but open them.
(if closed, re-close, but if open, leave open) and go on through. Just past
last gate go around oil pump. Continue straight to bridge. Cross bridge
and take road to right through field 1 tenth mile to clump of trees. Cemetery
surrounded by fence.

The Following information is volunteered by Robert Jerry Ross, P.E., grandson of Laura Cordelia Rice. This information is further collaborated by Mellie Adelle (Rice) Ross and Martin Rice, the only surviving children (1996) of Laura Cordelia Rice. RICE Laura Cordelia 31Jul1889 09May1939 Laura died of breast cancer. Her maiden name is Simpkins and is the 3rd wife of William Jewel Rice. Will Rice outlived 3 wives; he is buried next to his first wife at New Harp Cemetery, New Harp, Texas. RICE "Baby Rice" 05May1908 05May1908 Stillborn son of Laura & Will Rice; the unnamed baby is buried adjacent to Laura. Will Rice scratched "Baby Rice" on a stone.
