Concord Meeting House
1801. First Meeting
Established West of the
Ohio River. Rebuilt and downsized 1898

Set off from the Redstone Quarterly Meeting 19th day of the 12th month 1801.

From Rt. 250 at Colerain,
OH, take Belmont
County Rd 4 and
turn left on Negus Rd.

Short Creek Meeting House
was erected on this site in
1807. Located about 0.5 miles W. of Mt. Pleasant on Rt. 151.

Erected in 1814, the
Ohio Yearly Meeting House
was the first established
West of the Alleghenies
Located in Mt. Pleasant,
OH, this building can hold
more than 2000 people. Although yearly meetings
were discontinued after 1909,
this Yearly meeting played a
crucial role in the
development of Quaker
faith in Eastern Ohio.

of Josiah Fox, 1763-1847,
who wielded great influence
in Navy ship design.
Among the 14 ships he
designed (or helped design)
were the
U.S.S. Constitution
i.e., "Old Ironsides"
