Julia married Merrill Edward Pratt on 2 November 1862 in Prattville, Autauga County, Alabama.

Julia Adelaide SMITH died on 14 October 1932 in Prattville, Autauga County, Alabama, at age 89. She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Prattville, Alabama.
