Miilton married Mary Hanson Fletcher BURT, daughter of Richard BURT and Margaret BURT, on 16 November 1840 in Chambers County, Alabama. After their marriage they moved to Tuskegee in Macon county.
Miilton Stevens died on 16 April 1883 in Tuskegee, Macon County, Alabama, at age 74.
His obituary appeared 18 April 1883 in the The Macon Mail, published in Tuscegee, Alabama. It said that he was born 1808 in Edgefield District, South Carolina. He moved with his parents to Putnam county, Georgia and then to Chambers county, Alabama. He married Miss Mary Burt of Columbus, Georgia. In 1840 they moved to Tuskegee.
