** Transcriber's Remarks **

Columns above represent: Last and first name, relationship, race, gender,
month and year born, age, marital status, where born, where father born,
where mother born, and occupation.

Columns omitted were: Number of years married, number of children born, and
number of children alive, as only #1 & #2 had information (see below);
Number of months unemployed as all adults were employed; Education as all
adults could read, write and speak English; and whether farm or house as
information was given only for #1 (see below).

For information "not known" the enumerator either wrote "unknown" or left it
blank.

Transcriber abbreviated Daughter as Dau, Missouri as Missri, Illinois as Ill,
Indiana as Ind, and England as Eng.

Address of Orphanage: not given in census. The name of the township was not
clear but looks something like "DuGerrin Township" (looked different on each
of several census pages).
This census was enumerated by Y.W. Rogers on June 1, 1900.

1 Married 10 years, had two children, owned a farm free of mortgage.
2 Married 10 years, had two children
9 Hard to decipher; might be Eslom, Islom, Erlow, Eslam, or something similar
to any of these. The first letter is stinted, not well-formed or full; could
possibly be something other than "I" or "E".
10 Age for this person given in original census as 3/12, abbreviated here as
    "3m" for "3 months".
11 Middle initial might be W
16 Might be J.C.R. instead of J.L.R.
19 Looks like Stepton; might be Stephan but can't say for certain.
20 Might be McKeany, McKeary, McKeasy
