** Transcriber's Remarks **

Please Note: The handwriting style of this enumerator is such that
letters "a", "o", "s", and sometimes "d", are left open. Letter "t"s are
crossed but not on the "t" itself and may tend to look like the dot of
a letter "i". In other instances "M" can easily pass for "W", "n" for "u",
and "m"s for "w"s.

Columns above represent: Last name, First name, Relationship, Race, Gender,
Month and year of birth, Age, Where born, Where father born, Where mother
born, Occupation, Number of months in school, Can read, write and speak
English.

Columns omitted were: Marital statues and number of years married - as only
the head and wife were married (see #1 & #2 and #6 below)and all others were
single; Number of children born and living - as only #2 had children (see #2
below); Immigration - as no information was given; Months unemployed - as
only #11 had had information (see #11 below); Owned or rented a farm or home
as information was given for only #1 (see #1 below).

Enumerator abbreviated Unknown as Un.
Transcriber abbreviated Pennsylvania as Penn, New York as NY, West Virginia
as W. Virg, Virgina as Virg, Superintendant as Super, Attendant as Attend
and Att, Living Room as L Room, and Ireland as Ire.

This census was taken on 20 June 1900, by L.D. Smith, Enumerator

1 First name is partially written over but I think it is David; Married 24
   years; farm schedule is 89.
4 Could be Doria; Married 24 years; Had 4 children, 3 living.
6 Was a widow with no children.
 8 Might be Akison
9 Might be Sinoff or Siroff, Siropp, possibly Snapp, Snopp, or Snoff however,
the last two letters look more like "f"s than "p"s in the original document.
10 Cannot make out last name; looks similar to Seybon, or possibly Seyborn, Sigbom
or Seigborn. The writing is unclear and there is interference from tails of
the letters "f" on line above. First name is most likely Mary though it looks
like Mury. (see "Please Note" section above)
11 Surname is hard to read; might be Eagleton or Engleton. Cannot make out first
name; might be Mark. Unemployed 0 months.
12 Cannot make out last name; to look at this name as written, it looks like
"Fuucl?ru"; the "cl" are close together and may actually be a letter "d"; the "?"
here indicates the possibility of an additional letter in this position. Only a
small number of possibilities for this surname (taking enumerator's handwriting
style into account from other entries) will be listed here: Fandre(s)/Fundre(s),
   Feindore/Feindorn, Fenidore, Fairdre(e), Fairdres, Ferndore, Fandrie/Fundrie
   (see "Please Note" section above).
13 Surname is hard to read; might be Julin, Jestin, even Julio (see "Please Note"
   section above)
15 Surname looks more like Martin but might be Marlin (see "Please Note" section
   above)
18 Might be Willoughby
19 Might be Willoughby
20 Might be Laudon, Lundon, or London
21 Might be Lorrence, or possibly, Torsance, Torsince, Torsuice
22 Surname is very hard to read; might be Clemans, Clemens, Clumm, Clemms, Climm, Clemm,
or Climms, or some other variant (see "Please Note" section above)
25 The surname entry for this person was just a first letter (or part of first letter)
and a straight horizontal line; enumerator used this style elsewhere to indicate
   "same as above".  In this case, it is hard to determine what the first letter is;
the letter looks like a "P" but it could be very well could be a partially written
"C" (old-style, with the loops), indicating "same as the above", which in this case
would be "Cook". The first name for this person is hard to read but might be Nannie
(see "Please Note" section above); as written, the name looks like "Uuuuie".
27 Might be Laudon or London, possibly Leindon. First name might be Ray.
32 First name for this person might be Peirs or Piers
34 Might be Buschnell, Buschnill, Birchnill, Birchnell, possibly Birchwell, Birchwill,
Buschwill/Buschwell. There is a minuscule chance that the last letter is a "d". If
it is a "d", there is no loop and what would be the loop is part of the stroke
connecting what looks like two "l"s; there is, however, what looks like a backward
stroke in that area that might suggest a "d".
35 Surname for this person hard to read. As written, this name looks like: "Gilluinatrous",
however, there are many additional combinations of letters that can be as well (see "Please
Note" above"). The best possible interpretation for this Transcriber for this surname
   would be "Gillissnatrious", possibly "Gilbisnatrious".
36 Same as 35
37 Same as 35
38 Same as 35
43 Surname for this person is illegible; last two letters of name could be "ck"
"al", "el", "d", "nd", "uel", "ud" to list a few possibilities. The first letter of
surname is smudged beyond recognition in the original document. The surname does appear
to be short, perhaps 5 letters or so. First name looks like "Sylvestis?" (the "t" is not
crossed). (see "Please Note" section above)
