ARRIVAL OF THE DALLAM TOWER PASSENGERS IN OTAGO
Otago Witness March 27th 1875

Mr Collin Allan has been informed by telegram that the Taranaki left Wellington with 146 immigrants, per Dallam Tower, for Port Chalmers, 32 of whom are nominated for Southland. No engagements were effected at the Oversham Barracks last week, the only occupants being a few families with sickness among them. The next immigrant vessel due, is the Timaru, which left the Clyde on December 31st, and following her was the William Davie, which sailed from London on the 10th January.
