Consolidated morning report, 91st PA, 16 February 1863

Consolidated morning report, 16 February 1863

[previous report (15 Feb) | next report (17 Feb) | search & display multiple days]

[I have proofread this transcription.]
[Some errors are clearly present in the manuscript; see my notes below for details. I suspect the totals are correct, and the errors occur somewhere else. Co.C probably has 3 enlisted men absent with leave (as on the 17th), not 1.]
[I have changed the format to improve legibility.]
[Numbers in square brackets and with grey shading are illegible in the manuscript; I have inferred them from totals.]

CONSOLIDATED MORNING REPORT of The Ninety First Regiment of Infantry Pennsylvania Volunteers commanded by Colonel Edgar M. Gregory

NOTE.--Regimental and Battalion Staff Officers, when belonging to companies, will be reported in such companies as "on detached service," and be accounted for in "Field and Staff." They will, however, be dropped from aggregate of "Present and Absent" in Field and Staff, and be accounted for in the aggregate of their respective companies.

The total number of enlisted men present in company H should be 35, not 36. Co. H has one fewer field musician and one fewer private present for duty than on the 15th, but has only one additional private present sick. Perhaps one field musician should be reported present sick. For the same reason, the total number of enlisted men present should be 327, not 328.
