I am directed by the Capt. Commdg Regt. to acknowledge the receipt of your Communication of the 8th inst.; and to State in reply that the name of Wm Reiff, does not appear on Special Order No 186 Hd. Qrs 5th Corps July 30th .64 directing the detail of certain musicians to report at Hospital of 5th Corps at City Point
The names of the following appear on the detail - and were ordered to report as directed
