I have the honor to request that Thomas F Walter 1s Sergt Co "A" 91s Regt P.V.V. be discharged to enable him to be mustered as 1s Lieut of said Company he having received a Commission from the Governor of Penna. December 14" 1864 dated October 10" 1864

The Company has thirty six (36) enlisted men present and a total of "present and absent" of Sixty five (65)

In Compliance with S. O #346 from Hd Qrs Army of Potomocac [sic] dated December 22" 1864 I have the honor to Submit the following names of men who in my Judgment are entitled to Medals of Honor

Color bearers Archibald Nimmo Sergt Co "C" & Edward Gamble Corporal Co "B" for conspicuous gallantry in Carrying the Colors in the two charges made on the enemy's works in front of Petersburg, on the 18" of June 64 in the latter of which both were wounded

also--Franklin G Wolfinger Sergt Co "K" for taking the Colors after the color bearers were wounded and waving them defiantly in face of the enemy. Carried them safely through under a heavy fire
