Extract

Before a Gen Court Mar, of which Captain H. J. Hawkins 6th Regiment Maryland Vols. is President. Convened at Alexandria Va. on Monday January 23rd 1865. by Virtue of Para VI of Gen. Ord, No 61. dated Hd. Qrs. Military Governor Alexa Va January 22nd 1865 were arranged [sic] and tried.

30 John Robinson Co "E" 91st P.V. on the following Charge & Specifacation [sic]
Charge ... Desertion
Specification. In this that the said John Robinson Co "E" 91st Pa Vols having been duly Enlisted in the Military Service of the U.S. did without proper Authority absent himself from his Company and Regiment, and so remain until apprehended at or near Delaware Co. Pa, on or about the 25th Day of December 1864. This at or near Philadelphia Pa on or about the 10th Day of June 1864.

To which Charge & Specification the Prisoner John Robison [sic] Compy "E" 91st Pa Vols Pleaded.

To the Specification Guilty

" the Charge Not Guilty


Findings

The Court having maturely Considered the Evidence adduced finds the Prisoner John Robinson Co "E" 91st Pa Vols as follows.

of the Specification ... Guilty

" " Charge ... Guilty


Sentence.

The Court does therefore Sentence him John Robinson Comp "E" 91st Pa Vols to be returned to his regiment under gaurd [sic] for duty to make good all time lost by absence to forfeit all pay & Allowances now due. and the Sum of ten (10) Dollars per month of his monthly pay for the period of twelve months.

The proceedings findings & Sentence in the Cases of

John Robinson Co. "E" 91st Pa Vols.

are approved They will be released and [an erased word; perhaps 'returned'] from Confinement and returned under gaurd [sic] to their regiment for duty. their Sentence will be Carried into execution by the Commandg Officer
