Before a Gen. Court Mar. of which Maj Alexd Walker 7th Regt Mich. Cav. is President. Convened at Alexd Va. on Monday Jan 23rd 1865. by Virtue of para IV of Gen Ord. No 61. dated Hd Qrs Mil. Gov. Alexd. Va. Jan 22nd 1865. were arraigned & tried
37. Frank P. Donahue Corpl Co "E" 91st Pa Vols
on the following Charge & Specification
Charge ---- Desertion
Specification. In this that the said Frank P. Donahue Enlisted in Co "E" 91st Regt Pa Vols having been duly enlisted in the Military Service of the U.S. did without proper authority absent himself from his Camp and so remain until apprehended at or near Phila Pa. on or about the 10th Day of Jan. 1865. This at or near Camp Distribution Va. on or about the 21st day of December 1864.
To which Charge & Specification the prisoner, Frank P Donahue Corpl Co "E" 91st Pa Vols pleaded ..
To the Specification ... Guilty
" " Charge ... Not Guilty
The Court having maturely Considered the Evidence adduced finds the prisoner Frank P. Donahue Corpl Co "E" 91st Pa. Vols as follows
of the Specification -- "Guilty"
of the Charge -- Not Guilty" but Guilty of "Absence Without Leave"
Sentence
The Court does therefore Sentence him Frank P Donahue Corpl Co "E" 91st Pa Vols to be returned to his regiment under gaurd [sic] for duty with Loss of all pay & allowances now due and make good the time lost by absence.
The proceedings findings & Sentence in the Cases of

Are approved. They will be released from Confinement and returned under gaurd [sic] to their regt. for duty.
