8. Brevet Brigadier General E. M. Gregory, Colonel 91st Pennsylvania Volunteers, is hereby assigned to duty as Assistant Commissioner of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands for the State of Texas, and will report to Major-General Howard, Commission of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, in this city.
