- Colonel Jack Wharton commanded the 6th Regiment of Texas Cavalry, CSA (no spouse listed)
- Bettie Wharton's husband was Rev Heber O Crane (who died before she died)
- William H Wharton's memorial does not list a spouse
- Mary Wharton's husband's family name was 'Alvey'; Eliza beth W Alvey died on 19 August 1872, and Virginia Alvey died on 15 March 1859 (born daughters of RH and Mary Alvey)
- Sarah Wharton's husband Claggett Dorsey Fitzhugh was a captain in company K of the 1st Virginia Cavalry (and acted as a guide for Longstreet but was arrested; he was refused in an exchange because no record of his enlistment could be found, and he was thought to be a private citizen); he died on 30 July 1917 (and was buried in the same cemetery as she)
