Gregory of Philadelphia of the County of Philadelphia State of Pennsylvania, and District aforesaid, has on the 31st day of December A.D. 1868 at 3 o'clock P.M., filed in the office of the Clerk of said Court, a Petition for Adjudication in Bankruptcy against himself, according to the provisions of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to Establish a Uniform System of Bankruptcy throughout the United States," approved March 2, 1867,

Know all Men by these Presents, That George Tucker Bispham of the City of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania Attorney at Law has been duly appointed Assignee of the Estate of Edgar M Gregory of Philadelphia, in the County of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, who has been adjudged Bankrupt by decree of this Court. Now, therefore, I, Joseph Mason a Register in Bankruptcy of said District by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Fourteenth Section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to Establish a Uniform System of Bankruptcy throughout the United States," approved March 2, 1867, do hereby convey and assign to the said George Tucker Bispham, Assignee as aforesaid, all the Estate, Real and Personal, of the said Edgar M. Gregory, Bankrupt, including all Property, of whatever kind, of which he is possessed, or in which he was interested, or entitled to have, on the Thirty first, day of December, A.D One Thousand Eight Hundred and sixty eight, together with all his Deeds, Books, and Papers relating thereto, saving and excepting such Property as is exempted from the operation of this Assignment by the provisions of said Fourteenth Section of said Act. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all the foregoing premises to said George Tucker Bispham and to his

heirs forever. IN TRUST NEVERTHELESS for the use and purposes, and with the powers and subject to the conditions and limitations, prescribed and set forth in said Act.

I hereby certify that is [sic] only claim which has come into my hands as proved is one by Francis Ruthman for $1704.91 amount due on promissary note on certificate of deposit dated Nov. 10" 1854.--of Gregory, Ingalsbe and Company. Proved at Cincinnati, Ohio, March 3" 1869.
(I have not been able to identify Ruthman, either in the statement of Gregory, Ingalsbe, and Co, or in Gregory's statement of his creditors. Perhaps he purchased the certificate from the original holder.)No other proofs of debt against the above Estate have come to my hands.
