David Adams

Before the war

In November 1847, he married Nancy McCune. They apparently had these two children:

In 1850, he was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Nancy and daughter Hannah, along with other people. He was a coachmaker. [source: 7]

In 1860, he was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Nancy, daughter Ann, and another child. He was a coach maker and owned $100 in personal property. [source: 8]

During the war

He was drafted. He was mustered into service as a private on 28 February 1865, at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. He was a private, in company F. [sources: 1, 2, 3 (27 Feb), 14]

After the war

In 1870, he was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Nancy and daughter Kate. He was a coachmaker, and owned $100 in personal property. [source: 9]

In 1880, he was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Nancy and daughter Catharine. He was a coach maker. [source: 10]

In 1890, he was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. [source: 5]

In 1900, he was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Nancy, daughter Katherine, and her family. He was a day laborer. [source: 11]

He died on 18 November 1903, at Waynesboro, [Franklin County,] Pennsylvania. He was buried in the Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. [sources: 3, 6, 13]

In 1910, his widow, Nancy Adams, was living in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. She was living with her daughter Katie and Katie's family. [source: 12]
