He married Mary Ann Plummer. She was born on 15 November 1829 (or 1828?), in Pennsylvania. In 1900 and 1910, she reported having had nine children, two of whom were alive, including:

In 1870, he was living in Gulich Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Mary, and with William, John, Josiah, Charlotta, Harvey, Abram, and Silas (presumably their children). He was a teamster, and owned $590 in personal property. [source: 7]

In 1880, he was living in Juniata Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his wife Mary, and his children Charlotte, Harry, and Abraham. He was a farmer. [source: 5]

On 23 August 1886, his widow, Mary A Amigh, applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension. [sources: 4, 6]
In 1890, his widow, Mary A Emigh, was living in East Conemaugh Borough, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. She had lost his discharge. [source: 10]

A Jonathan Emigh in Clearfield County is the right age, but married to Elizabeth:
A John Amigh, married to Isabella Merriman, lived in Franklin, [Cambria County?], Pennsylvania. He served as a private in company E of the 45th Pennsylvania Infantry. They were married in a town starting with a 'P' in Centre County, by a Justice of the Peace, and had seven children, with only two living by the early 1900's. He successfully applied for a pension on 25 February 1863. He died on 28 July 1888. She successfully applied for a pension on 3 September 1888 (and was added to the pension list by 10 January 1890). They are both buried in Franklin Cemetery.
