Stephen A. Bachman, a well known resident of Shickshinny, dropped dead in the yard of his residence last night. Heart trouble was the cause of death. Deceased conducted a general store in Shickshinny and was an excellent citizen. He was an old resident of that place and was a veteran of the Civil War. His wife and three children survive him. The funeral announcement will be made later.
At a session of Orphans' court this morning presided over by Judge Freas, disposition of estates was as follows:
...Estate of S. A. Bachman: William A. Masters appointed guardian of William S. Bachman. Bond in sum of $1,000 approved.
Mrs. Emma Bachman, aged 67 years, died yesterday at noon at her home on Union street in Shickshinny after a long illness of complications. She is survived by three children, William Bachman, Mrs. Nellie Confer and Mrs. O. E. Suttliff, of Shickshinny. Funeral on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
