In 1860, he may be the Peter Baumaster who was living in Williams Township, Northampton County. He was living with Elizabeth (apparently his wife), and with Susanna (apparently their daughter). He was a laborer, and owned $500 in real estate and $250 in personal property. [source: 7]

On 19 May 1866, Susan Baumeister married Benjamin Colemann, in St John's Lutheran Church, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Aaron [sic] and Elisabeth Baumeister. Benjamin Coleman was born on 12 January 1843, died on 16 January 1867, and was buried in the Arndts and Messinger Cemetery, Forks Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. [sources: 8, 9]
