On 16 May 1863, he was ordered to report to Lieutenant Diehl, apparently as part of the First Brigade teams (3).
On 28 July 1863, he was reported as having been dropped because he was missing in the campaign (probably after 11 June 1863) (4). He had returned by 28 July 1863 (4).
On 18 December 1863, he returned to duty from furlough (5). (However, the previous reports don't list anyone in company C on furlough.)
On 30 December 1863, Sinex reported that he was one of 38 men who had less than fifteen months to serve who were unwilling to reenlist (2). On 2 January 1864, he was transferred to the 155th Pennsylvania Infantry, while those eligible were on veterans' leave (6).
He returned to duty from Brigade Headquarters on 2 May 1864 (11).
He mustered out near Petersburg, Virginia, when his term expired, on 4 October 1864 (1, 7) or 6 October 1864 (8, 9, 10, 12 [4 Oct], 14). He was a private, in company C (17, 18, 19, 20, 21).
He died on 16 February 1878, of phthisis pulmonalis (15, 16). He was married (16). He was a laborer (16). He died at, or was buried from, 1074 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (16). On 19 February 1878, he was buried at Cathedral Cemetery (16).
In 1890, his widow, Bridget Connelly, was living at 1135 Peel Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (12).
His widow, Bridget Connelly, applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension on 21 August 1890 (13, 15).
