In 1890, he was living in Menallen Township or Bendersville Borough, Adams County, Pennsylvania (4).

On 16 July 1890, he successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (5, 8).

He received an increased pension in May 1897 (7). He was then living in Menallen (7).

On 3 December 1904, he died (9). He was buried in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Bendersville, Adams County, Pennsylvania (9).
