1860 census

[1860 US census, Pennsylvania, Adams County, Tyrone Township, microfilm series M653, film 1057, pages 633 = 51 handwritten to 634 = 52 handwritten]
[identification is likely; the other William Fissel in Adams County in 1860 (Reading Township (post office East Berlin), microfilm series M653, film 1057, page 558 = 10 handwritten), with Abraham and Barbary Fissel, is the wrong William Fissel, since he never left Adams County. For other probable references to him, see Find-a-grave, which has entries for William Fissel (19 Feb 1849 - 15 June 1915) and Sarah Fissel (11 July 1845 - 26 June 1928) sharing a stone, buried in the Hampton Union Cemetery (Hampton, Adams County, Pennsylvania); interestingly, in the same cemetery are buried Abraham Fissel (died 26 January 1894, 30 years old, husband to Barbara), and Barbara Fissel (died 25 November 1909, 73 years old), and (b) the 1870 US census (Pennsylvania, Adams, Tyrone) (26, a farmer, with Sarah 24, Lewis 4, and Clayton 3) (see microfilm series M593, film 1289, page 378 = 16 handwritten)]
