He was transferred from company M of the 62nd Pennsylvania Infantry to the 91st on 20 July 1864 (1, 12). On 21 July 1864, he, and the other members of companies L and M, were assigned to company G (2). On 22 July 1864, they were transferred to company K, following brigade orders to assign them to the smallest company (3). He was then present, as a private, on duty at the Corps Hospital (3). He was a private in company K (1, 13).
On 14 November 1864 he was promoted to corporal (4).
He was reduced to the ranks on 31 May 1865 (5).
In June 1865, he was detailed in the Division Train (10).
He mustered out on 10 July 1865 with his company (1). He was a private, in company K (13).
In 1880, he was living on Oak Street, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania (11). He was living with his wife Margaret, and children John and Mary (11). He was a laborer (11).
In 1885, he died (12). He was buried in Asbury Cemetery, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania (12).
On 25 June 1888, his widow, Margarette Frederick, applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (8, 9).
In 1890, his widow, Margret Frederick, was living in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania (7).
