During the war

He was a substitute (1). He enlisted and was mustered into service on 23 March 1865 (1, 2, 4). He was enlisted for one year, at Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, by Captain Lloyd (2). He was a private in company C (1, 5).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 4). He was a private, in company C (5).

After the war

On 19 July 1890, he applied successfully from Illinois for a pension (3, 4).

He died on 27 September 1899 (4).
